From consumer websites to hearing aid brand strategy to DNA vial packaging, Sara Butorac finds all forms of design to be intriguing. Sara first moved to the Bay area in 1997, starting her career as an associate designer at the Gap and gaining big-picture knowledge about the evolving nature of design and branding. In 1999 Sara went to work for Jeff Marcus of Marcus Associates, a small agency focusing on branding for corporate clients. This leap in size exposed Sara to the complete spectrum of the design process; from strategy, to "creative", to final production, she became inspired by the knowledge that all elements of the process are essential for the delivery of a successful solution. This knowledge, combined with a strong belief in simplicity, defines the core from which Sara designs.
In 2006 Sara Butorac left her role as Art Director at Moxie Method to start Sara Butorac Design. Since its inception SBD has established a broad collaborative stance, working directly with private clients and consulting for other designers and in-house marketing agencies. SBD services include: Strategy, Branding, Print, Packaging, Website/UI Design - but SBD believes the scope and problem-solving potential of design is unlimited.
